Saylu ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Saylu website (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

  • Event Media (Audio & Visual): Our core service involves acting as a digital audio guestbook. To provide this service, we collect and store audio recordings (voice messages) left by guests, as well as any text messages and photos optionally provided during an event.
  • Payment Data: We do not store your full credit card details. Payment transactions are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com.

Saylu uses the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Service, including hosting and making accessible the event audio recordings to the event host
  • To notify you about changes to our Service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so

  • To monitor the usage of the Service
  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues

  • Event Hosts: The primary purpose of our service is to collect messages for event hosts. Audio recordings, photos, and associated metadata (e.g., caller ID if applicable) collected during a specific event are made accessible to the host who created that event.
  • Legal Requirements: Saylu may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of Saylu, prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service, or protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public.
  • Service Providers: We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, maintain servers, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data and Event Media, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  • Hosts: You can typically access, update or request deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us.
  • Guests/Callers: If you left an audio recording at an event hosted on Saylu and wish for it to be removed, please contact the host of the event first as they are the data controller for the event's collection. You may also contact us for assistance.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
